I do, so I was just curious.
I know the Org tends to attract/cause/contribute to people having low self-esteem, so I figure a lot of people must have it as bad or worse than me.

as jws we were no doubt staunch creationists.
but how do you feel now??
do you still opt for creation or do you now feel evolution offers the right answer.
I'm going with evolution.
not for anyone but elders ;-) - the elders received this document during the last series of elder schools.
not to be shared with anyone.
it tells you how well you should not cooperate and rather let your children die and even if there is a court order to continue harassing doctors.
Can anyone post this directly on here? I can't open it.
whats up with that??
was this really what they did back then?
it just doesnt seem legit....
Lol.
1, 2. in what ways can you benefit from bible examples?.
find in him a good example of one who.
that the only warning we find in solomons.
Great post!
once when i was profoundly sad for too many days, my brother in law sent us a mix tape.
he named each song after a person in our family.
this is the one he named heather.
I tend to find Death Cab for Cutie very soothing, especially the whole album entitled We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes.
this area bothered me even more than the ban on college.
i was born a feminist, popped out that way.
before the women's movement, i hated their attitude of hating women.
Little boys got to read easy parts from the Bible, yet little girls had to actually ACT OUT scenes. Little boys get to carry mikes but little girls have to sit down and stay dow. I disagree with a male in the Org and am told I am arrogant and confrontational by my own mother. It's so idiotic. Even standing on the platform made me feel a little horrible, like only the men REALLY belonged there, and us sisters were just beng allowed up there as long as we were good and obedient.
When I was a child, I used to wish I was a boy sometimes, just so I could be recognized as someone of worth, like the boys who got to do all sorts of things that I felt guilty for wanting to do, like look at the audience on the platform.
i'm a regular reader of baggagereclaim.co.uk.
i find it helps me deal with many of the relationship-based hurts in my past, but this latest blog post, although it's written about romantic relationships, just made me think of my life as a jw and puts a lot of it in perspective!
so i felt it was worth a share... thought it might help some lurkers, faders & those questionning the cult.. have highlighted the most relevant parts.
That's a great article, thanks for posting it!
i just created a website for jw and ex-jw women.
please visit it and tell me what you think (and maybe sign up hehe)!
it's a work in progress.
Just some news on the site:
Links page for other good sites with preview boxes
Home page with add-ons, including a chat box and sharing capabilities
(Empty) forum page with many topics
A members page
Profiles and profile pictures are available to members
News page with only one brief post of mine, different catagories.
What else should I add?
i'm a long-time lurker (and hopefully successful fader) who finally took the jump and registered on jwd.
thank you all for the great information over the years!.
as you can tell by my username, i'm a big weezer fan.
Old post, but...I just fell back in love with Weezer...
